Resolve Errors in Accounting Power

Follow

We are limited in our ability to extract data if we can’t login to the Bank/Credit Card/Investment Website. This applies to Ledgersync/Accounting Power and every other Accounting Software on the market.

This means:

 1) If the client has changed their username/password to the bank, the updated username/password needs to be update on Accounting Power as well.

 2) If the bank/credit card financial institution is asking for a security question or token this needs to be updated within the application. Why? This the bank’s security and confirming the access.

These processes are put in place by the bank and are out of our control.

How To Solve This?

 There are 2 scenarios

1) YOU HAVE ACCESS TO THE CLIENT’S USERNAME/PASSWORD AND SECURITY QUESTIONS.

If you have access to the client’s username/password and Security Questions

a) Go to the Bank Feeds section

b) Click on Register Now

c) Click on “CHANGE” to update/confirm the User Name/Password is correct.  If you wish to have the system refresh the data, please ensure that the Password Box is 'Saved".

d) Click on “UPDATE” and this will make a request from the bank to provide a Security Question so that it can be answered.

2) YOU DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE CLIENT’S USERNAME/PASSWORD AND/OR SECURITY QUESTIONS

If you don't have access to their information, then your client has to be the one to update their credentials.

a) Go to the Bank Feeds section

b) Click on FORWARD REGISTRATION TO THE CLIENT- this will forward the bank feed process to the client to update themselves

c) They will get an email that looks like this:

d) Client Clicks on “CHANGE” to update/confirm the User Name/Password is correct. If you wish to have the system refresh the data, please ensure that the Password Box is 'Saved".

e) Click on “UPDATE” and this will make a request from the bank to provide a Security Question so that it can be answered
